Ian Glenn is Emeritus Professor of Media Studies at the University of Cape Town and a Research Fellow in Communication Science at the University of the Free State. He lives in the Cape Overberg and birds enthusiastically but not very expertly. He is working on a second edition of First Safari and on a study of Levaillant as ornithologist. His most recent book is Wildlife Documentaries in Southern Africa: From East to South [Anthem Press, 2023 and Footprint Press, 2024].
